At Glidewell, we’ve learned something that sounds obvious but is easy to forget: health isn’t one-dimensional. You can’t be truly healthy in one area while neglecting the rest forever. Eventually, it all connects. Eventually, it all shows up.
That’s why we talk about six areas of health:
- Physical – how your body moves, rests, and functions
- Spiritual – purpose, faith, and grounding
- Emotional – stress, resilience, and self-awareness
- Financial – clarity, confidence, and stability
- Intellectual – learning, curiosity, and growth
- Relational – connection, community, and belonging
Our desire at Glidewell goes far beyond helping people protect what matters on paper. We want to help people live healthier, more aligned lives across all six areas. Because when one area is ignored long enough, it eventually spills into the others.
Why Physical Health Often Comes First
Physical health is usually the first thing we sacrifice and the last thing we intentionally rebuild. We sit more. Move less. Tell ourselves we’ll “get back to it” when life slows down.
The truth is, movement changes more than just your body. Regular movement improves energy, sleep, mood, and stress. It sharpens decision-making and focus, which quietly impacts every other area of life, including how we show up at work and how we manage money. When your body feels better, everything else tends to follow.
And it doesn’t require extremes.
Walking is one of the simplest, most sustainable ways to care for your physical health. It’s low barrier, low injury risk, and incredibly effective over time. Consistent movement beats intense bursts every time.
This is something I needed myself. And it’s why I started walking before I thought about inviting anyone else to do it with me.
That belief is what led me to create Striders Club.
The idea is simple: 2.6 million steps in ’26
No perfection. No guilt. No complicated rules. Just people choosing to move a little more and encourage each other along the way.
Striders Club includes:
- Simple step tracking
- Weekly fun challenges
- Monthly check-ins
- Light accountability, zero shame
- A private Facebook group built on encouragement
- Some swag along the way, because fun matters
This is about physical health, but it also strengthens relational health. Community, encouragement, and shared effort matter more than most of us realize.
This isn’t a fitness program. It’s a physical health commitment that fits real life.
An Invitation
If you’re realizing your physical health could use a little more attention, Striders Club is a great place to start. And if doing it with others sounds better than doing it alone, you’re exactly who this is for.
We believe health works best when it’s shared.
If you’d like to join, click here to request an invite to the private Striders Club Facebook group and start moving with us.
One step at a time, toward better health in all six areas.
